CREDAI Signs MOU withInstitute of Indian Interior Designers(IIID) In Continuation of Its Commitment towardsSustainability on World Environment Day

June 5th 2020:CREDAI, the leading apex body of private Real Estate developers, representing 20,000 developers across India entered into an agreement with IIID, reinforcing its commitment towards a sustainable and green environment. By joining forces, CREDAI and IIID intend to create a common knowledge platform to share insights that will help experts from both real estate and interior design industry along with exchange of information on the latest developments. The partnership will focus on aspects such as water and sanitation, energy efficiency, sustainable design oriented workshops, research programs and innovative techniques to establish India as one of the global leaders in sustainable development.
Elaborating further on the collaboration, Satish Magar, President, CREDAI National said, “With the objective to identify and implement various environment friendly innovations and solutions for scripting a sustainable growth story, CREDAI is at the forefront to transform the real-estate landscape and to create a greener and healthier world for our future generations. We have always supported environment friendly construction practices, the partnership with IIDD reiterates our commitment to a healthy and safe environment. Post lockdown, as we re-start building the nation together, it is imperative for us to commence our operations responsibly. Growth without sustainability will leave our future generations bereft of the fruits of development”

Last year, CREDAI along with Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) had amplified the Green Building Movement to the next level by ensuring CREDAI projects go green and enabling them to achieve the desired green building rating. It had also partnered with International Finance Corporation to promote green buildings in the country through EDGE, which is a standard certification for energy and water efficient buildings.
